RECALL

 I Will some verbs and pupils are going to give the past tense and past participle.

Give the past tense and past particciple of these verbs, to eat, to be, to do, to go, to put

PRESENTATION

I Will present the lesson

I Will write sentences containing the new items.

I Will readand give the explanation how to form the past continuons tense

We have grammar lesson on the past continuons tense of verbs.

1)       I was doing the quiz.

2)       Your were going at home.

3)       They  were eating  ground nuts

4)       My monter was cooking  in the kitchen.

5)       He was opening the door

6)       She was calling me.

7)       Pupils were coming late

 

FIXATION

I Will ask my pupils to make a sentence with this  tense  past continuons tense

Make a sentence  with this tense the  past continuons tense.

e.g. you were working in the garden.

 

SYNTHESIS

I Will give the form of this tense which in the past continuons tense .

We form the past continuons tense by the verb to be in the simple past tense + ing form of the verb.

Was / where + ing form of the verb.

PRACTICE

I Will give an exercise and pupils are going to do orally.

Do these exercises on the board by putting them in the past continuons tense.

1)       She (to speak) frensh in the classroom

2)       We (to read) the english text.

3)       You (come) now.

4)       Mawaku (to do) the home work.

5)       Mr madiba(to teach) this lesson.

CORRIGE

1)       She was speaking french in the classroom.

2)       We were reading  the english text.

3)       You were coming now.

4)       Mawaku was doing the home work .

5)       Mr madiba was teching this lesson
