OBJECTIVE : AT THE END OF THE LESSON, PUPILS MUST BE ABLE TO KNOW AND TO DISTINGUISH THE PAST TENSE OF REGULAR AND IRREGULAR VERBS.

RECALL

I Will give some verb and pupils are going to give the past tense and participle

Give the past tense and the past participle of these verbs to close,  to, to help, to do, to speak

PRESENTATION

I Will present the lesson

I Will write the exercise on the board

I will do the first and the second exercise pupils are going to follow

We have exercise lesson on past tense of regular and irregular verbs.

Give the appropriate simple past tense of the verb between parenthesis.

1)       We ( to sleep) in old house

2)       She ( to come ) by bus

3)       My father (to go) to kinshasa last week

4)       She (to say) that she was ill

5)       Our teacher (speak) quickly

6)       Pupils (to ask) some questions

7)       They (to tell) the truth

8)       My mother (to cut) two fields this year

9)       My parents (to give) me a gift

10)   You (to be) in the classroom.

FIXATION

I Will ask my pupils to  do the exercise number 4, 5, 6 on the board.

Do the exercise number 4, 5 and 6 on the black board.

PRACTICE

I Will ask my pupils to do the exercise number 7, 8, 9 and 10 in a sheet of paper

Take a sheet of paper and do the exercise number 7, 8, 9 and 10.

CORRIGE

7) They told the truth

8) my mother cut two fields this year

9) My parents gave me a gift.

10) You were in the classroom

11) They (to call) me at the village

- They called me at the village
