question 1

ENGLISH TEXT

The digital camera is changing the way that people take pictures. As with most new things, there are advantages and drawbacks to digital cameras.

Traditional cameras work by focusing the image onto light-sensitive film in the camera. To see the pictures, the photographer has to send the film to a company that processes it. While this is a process that can take several days, the quality of the pictures is reliable and usually very good.

Digital cameras use no film at all. Rather, they convert the light entering the camera into information such as that which can be read by the computer. In fact, if you have a computer, you can view your pictures on the screen. You can also send the pictures that you took to your friends over the internet. Another advantage of digital cameras is that you can see your work immediately. If you don't like a picture, you can simply erase it by pressing the button.

Some people think that the most serious problem with digital cameras is making copies of the pictures. if you don't have a colour printer, you are limited to sharing your pictures with others electronically. Also, unless the colour printer is of very high quality, the pictures won't look as good as if they were taken with the traditional camera.
All in all the digital camera has brought a new era in the history of photography.
