Qu’appelle-t-on le cologarithme d’un nombre réel positif ?
Les cologarithmes
a. Définition : le cologaritme est le logarithme négatif d’un nombre réel. Ou encore ajouter l’opposé de logarithme.
b. Détermination de cologarithme
soit log N = c, m =(c+0, m)
colog N= - log N = - (c + 0, m) = -c-0, m
(on ajoute et on retranche 1)
= - c -1+1-0,m = (-c-1) + (1-0,m)
Colog N = -(c+1) + (1-0, m)
NB : - la caractéristique du cologarithme de N est –(c+1)
- sa mantisse est la partie décimale de (1-0, m) soit 100.000 – m.
Exemple : 1. Log N = 4,89063
colog N = -4,89063 = *(4+1)+(1-0,89063) = -5+0,10937 = -5,10937.
